María Laura Figari Argentine painter, she started her studies in Spain, where she lived between 1984 and 1989. She moved to the United States where she studied, at the same time, painting at Silvermine School of Arts (New Canaan, CT) and iconography in Greenwitch, CT. Between 1991 and 1996 she lived in Chile where she went to the ateliers of Marcelo Larrain and Concepcion Balmes. She exhibited her works at different salons and expositions such as National Museum of Fine Arts, "Pintemos Juntos"; Montecarmelo Center "ENTEL National Contest"; Las Condes Cultural Center; El Prado Gallery; Netherlands Embassy (Santiago de Chile); DUOC Fundation; Viña del Mar Gallery; Fimaulc Talca Fundation, etc. In 1996 she returned to Buenos Aires and strated to exhibit her works at diverse shows and art contests. She exhibits permanently at Atelier de la Barra, both in Punta del Este and Buenos Aires. She showed her artworks at "Autumn Salon", San Fernando in 1997, 1998 y 2000. Coordinated by maestro Marino Santa María, she was part of Tea Group since 1999 to 2000. During those years she was invited to exhibit at Praxis Internacional Art Gallery, Province Museum "René Brusau" (Resistencia, Chaco) and Hoy en el Arte Gallery. She exhibited the works at Arte Cordoba 2000, Historical Musuem of the Argentine Army, San Martin Palace, ExpoAntiquaria, Estilo Pilar, National Health Ministery. In 2001 she was invited by The Pictorial Bardon Group to show the works at Arte BA, she also showed at the Argentine Society of Artists, Ana Matthei Gallery (Santiago de Chile) and ExpoAntiquaria, Palais de Glace, Buenos Aires. In 2002 she showed the works at International Artexpo (New York) and Europ'Art (Geneva, Switzerland). Her artworks can be found in many art editions and private collections such as Azul Television Channel and many art collectors from Argentina, Chile, U.S.A. and Spain. |
